MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 609-bed, not-for-profit, acute care teaching and research hospital located in Northwest Washington. In addition, the hospital's chest pain centre allows cardiologists to quickly and effectively screen and treat potential cardiac patients, as well as refer them for further treatment through the hospital's cardiac and vascular laboratory. The hospital's continuum of care also includes wellness programmes, outpatient services and inpatient treatment.
MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is an acute care teaching hospital located in the Rosedale area of northeast Baltimore County, offering a full range of services for children and adults. The original funding for the creation of Good Samaritan Hospital was donated by Baltimore businessman Thomas J O'Neill. Both a specialty centre and a comprehensive community hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan features Centres of Excellence in Arthritis, Joint Replacement, Rehabilitation, Good Health Centre, Spine Health and Surgical Services. For more than 30 years, the hospital has been affiliated with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, with special programmes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopaedics and rheumatology. MedStar Harbor Hospital's specialty areas include orthopaedics, women's services, cancer care, diabetes care, fetal assessment, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and chronic lung disease treatment.
